About Valley Way Kennels
Valley Way Kennel is a full-service Boykin Spaniel breeder and training facility based in the beautiful Tennessee Valley of Huntsville, Alabama serving families all over the country. Valley Way Boykins provide the perfect compliment to a family with the sporting lifestyle whether it is Waterfowling, Upland Hunting, Outdoor Adventure Dogs or family service dogs.
Our selective breeding process allows us to provide the healthiest litter possible giving them the best life they deserve. All of our scheduled breeding's are verified by a Veterinarian and ALL health clearances are passed prior to including; Hips, Eyes, Heart and Genetics.
Our training process is unlike any in the country. We pride ourselves in the programs that we teach and we believe in the Low Force, No E-Collar, Positive reinforcement for your dogs ability to learn. We take on a very low number of clients at a time giving your dog the most attention possible during their semester at Valley Way. Our training program not only involves the dogs but the owner as well. With frequent training visits from our owners we are able to teach not only the dog but you as well.
Michael grew up a Huntsville native, up until college where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Building Science as well as a double minor in Business, and Sustainability from Auburn University.
Post graduation, Michael served as an associate trainer for a local trainer where he would eventually establish Valley Way in 2017.
Michael founded Valley Way Kennels out of the desire to provide a one stop shop for premium Boykin Spaniels. Michael has been an avid hunter for years and understands what it means to have a high performance companion with you in the field.
Colton spent 18 years of his life an hour and a half southeast of Huntsville in Southside, Alabama. Following his graduation from high school, Colton attended the University of Alabama where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering.
During his time in college, Colton developed a passion for gundogs which led into an obsession with waterfowl and upland game.
Colton’s gentle, patient approach and high standard of excellence provides the best environment for cultivating the quality attributes of gundogs in the field.
Dr. Nicole Kuhlmann is a native of Huntsville. Her undergraduate studies were completed at UAH while working full-time as a veterinary assistant at Madison Veterinary Hospital. In 2007, Dr. Kuhlmann received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University.
Nicole serves as an "on call" DVM which is extremely beneficial for maintaining a healthy lifestyle for any of our dogs here at Valley Way.
